Short+Sweet Canberra Success

Our Director Lis Shelley directed the play ‘Slow Dating’ by Adam Szudrich for Footprint Theatre’s entry at the Short+Sweet Play Festival at the Canberra Theatre Centre in August.

The play, about a woman who goes to a ‘Speed Dating’ event for seniors, was one of 10 staged in Week One, and one of 30 plays altogether at the Festival.

‘Slow Dating’ was selected by both professional judges and audiences to progress to the Gala Final on 20 August. Actress Penelope Hunt from Merimbula was runner up for Best Actor at the Gala Final, a wonderful achievement for Footprint’s third entry into the festival.

The play will be performed locally at Candelo on 18 November 2016 as part of the Cabaret of the Cow variety night.
